Kate Dryden - Partner
Kate offers over 20 years’ success providing strategic advice spanning environmental, transactional and corporate law matters as well as building best practice business functions that underpin growth, innovation and business transformation.
Kate founded her legal career as a Judge’s Associate in the Federal Court of Australia and with leading law firms including Mallesons and Baker & McKenzie, before working for a start-up carbon project development company in Washington DC and for eight years at global environmental services company Veolia. Kate combines her proven technical ability with an intuitive commercial acumen to protect, defend and grow multimillion-dollar organisations.
An experienced senior executive, Kate has led legal teams and business development teams, creating appropriate structures and strategies for success in those areas, with accountability for wider business strategy development and execution.
Kate has worked on numerous M&A transactions and projects (including O&M, DBO, BOOT and PPPs), has sat as a director on a number of boards (including joint venture and special purpose vehicles) and has been recognised by peers in private practice as a leading Australian In-House Planning & Environment Lawyer.
